Wassail, Wassail all over the radio!
On Sunday, December 16th, 2007, from 6-7 pm CST, I will be performing an hour-long radio show on local public access station KFAI. The show is called "Wassail- A Drink, A Toast, A Song, A Living Tradition," & will feature lots of traditional wassail songs (many of them Revels recordings), as well as a few modern ones, including one I wrote with my husband. I'll also be covering a little of the history of wassail & wassail traditions, & be giving out a recipe for wassail (the drink). My special guest stars are the wonderful folk group Bramblebush, http://www.bramblebush-music.org/.
In Minneapolis, MN, you can listen to KFAI on 90.3 fm. In St. Paul, MN, you can hear it on 106.7. ANYWHERE you can listen to the show as it broadcasts online, http://www.kfai.org/ . The programme is part of the station's public access WAVE Project. It is my understanding that it will be available in the online archives for one week after the broadcast, so if you miss it Sunday night & you STILL want to hear those wassails, you can listen to it online at your convenience until 12/22. Thank you, & happy holidays to you all!
